Returns & Exchanges
We do not accept returns or exchanges for two reasons:
- Most of our products are made on order and exclusively for each customer.
- The high cost of the shipping makes returns nonviable.
We will only accept exchanges if we've sent the wrong item (size or model), or if the item is defective.
Returning Merchandise by Mail
Pack and seal your return securely, in the original package if possible, and include the original invoice. Packages must be returned prepaid. We do not accept C.O.D. deliveries, and the shipping charges will not be refunded in cash. Instead, the amount will be credited to your next purchase.
Refunds
Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment. The refund only applies to the cost of the items, not for the shipping charges.
Refund of Shipping Charges
We will only refund shipping charges if we sent the wrong item or if the item is defective.
Refund of Money Transfer Fees
We will not refund 'money transfer fees' in any case. This fees are:
- Western Union: The fee paid by the customer when the money transfer is made, and the fees charged by Banco do Brasil when we withdraw the money and to send the money back.
- PayPal: The fees we pay when we accept the payment (3,4% + $0,35 US).
Stolen, Lost or Damaged Merchandise
In case of stolen, lost, or damaged merchandise, BahiaCapoeira will take the responsibility for the legal actions against the Brazil Post Office. We will file a 'refund request' (for the stolen, lost or damaged items and/or the shipping charges) directly with the Brazilian Post Office. This process would take 60 to 90 days from the initial complaint. The quantity of the money refund will depend exclusively on the Brazil Post Office. BahiaCapoeira will transfer this amount directly to the customer, if requested.
Other complaints and requests for refunds should be issued by the customer at their local post office, shipping company, or customs department.
